Beck’s New Album

I love it. And I haven’t even heard it.
Because what I really love is the idea behind it. Beck’s new album won’t be a recorded album as much as it’ll be sheet music of new songs. And with this, he invites people to record their own versions of his new songs and share them online. Sure, sheet music ain’t new, but in an era where an artist can’t even so much as sing a song in the shower without it appearing on YouTube before he towels off, this certainly is something else.
The album of sheet music comes out in December. But one song, “Do We? We Do”, has already been released. So have at it, kiddos.
